The course was brilliantly structured and a perfectly balanced one, streamlined towards architecture and yet open to have your own style; very precise yet left room for conversation. I loved the structure of the course and the access to the available material about it. I am in awe of Apurva Ma’am’s patience while teaching, she is never out of spirit. Ma’am’s involvement towards the learners is incredible. She remembers everyone and gives a detailed hearing to every learner. The diversity in the batch brings a number of perspectives on the floor without any obstruction! More than the structure of the course, it was ma’am’s energy that made the course more vibrant and gripping.

The course was extremely well structured with a brisk pace. The course material made us put our thinking caps on, and the interactive nature of sessions made it even more fun! Ar. Apurva Bose Dutta has a lovely persona that makes the back-up bone for a non-judgemental and conducive learning environment. All in all, a wholesome learning experience and a solid first step towards the world of writing architecture.

This course has been the main highlight of 2020 for me. Apurva ma’am has guided us so patiently through the aspects of architectural writing. Thanks to ma’am that she opened the gates for architectural writers in India as a profession; we could not have asked for a better mentor. The course has highlighted the tiniest of the details which are not written or taught. Thank you ma’am and team ACEDGE for giving us the opportunity to learn and understand these aspects.

Trying to find a writing course in architecture journalism in India, led me to finding Apurva ma’am. Prior to enrolling in this course, I had conversed with ma’am via email and she had been so helpful in helping me understand how to go about it. When I later received a mail from ma’am regarding this writing course, I had to do it, and I am so glad I did. It has been amazing and an eye opener on how to understand and write on architecture. Ma’am taught us the types and styles of writing, and the context and concepts of writing for architecture journalism.
In India, we lack this subject in architecture colleges and this opportunity was needed! So thank you Apurva ma’am and ACEDGE for the opportunity.

To be frank, I was really unsure before taking up this class. With the amount of time I took to decide on this, I missed registering for the first batch. 30 minutes into the first class and I was already glad that I took this up. The course is thoughtfully structured to introduce you to the larger aspects and genres of architecture related writing, and the details associated to each genre. It’s a perfect mix of theory and interactive sessions, both adding equally to the knowledge base of the learner. What I truly loved is that it gives you a foundation to understand writing by introducing you to the different aspects associated to it, in a manner that sets you free to think beyond, without limiting your thought process. This was one of the nicest things to happen in 2020.
It’s a free-think class that lets you grow, if I could put it that way. Additionally, the energy, knowledge and commitment that Apurva brings to this learning is exceptional. I would encourage anybody who has the slightest inclination towards architectural writing to take this up. It will definitely help add a lot to your learning curve.

The course was so well structured and executed meticulously, and all our participants will agree that our mentor brought an infectious energy to the classes that we stayed glued to our seats for all of the three hours. The knowledge shared by the mentor is perfect for a learner who may be at any stage of writing. It is appropriately informative for a new learner as well as helpful for someone who may already be a writer. It is a complete course in itself. The best part about it was how open ended every session was and how the mentor has let us be free to choose whatever path we wish to as per our liking. The course was very helpful in giving me an idea about architectural journalism; there’s a limit to what you can learn on the internet. I think I’ve found what kind of articles I’d write on. Most importantly I was exposed to mediums, magazines that I hadn’t heard of. Definitely being taught writing was a takeaway, but I didn’t know there were that many design magazines and blogs, which was my biggest takeaway in the course.
